Upon your arrival at the venue you will be welcomed by members of the Really Haunted team who will get you signed in for the night and also give you a run down on the do’s and don’ts as well as a health and safety talk. A waiver form may need signing venue depending. Some events will require the signing of a waiver form.
Once we have you all signed in and warmed up with a tea or coffee we will go ahead and have a walk round of the location with the lights on, we will give you a little history on the building, as well as the people connected to it over the years. This is also a great time for you to get a feel for the place why the lights are still on!
Next we will go through the equipment we will be using on the night, let you know what it’s for and how to use it. On the night you will have access to lots of equipment such as K2 Meters, EFM Meters, Infrared Thermometers, Rempods, EDI Meters, Ovilus 5, Spirit box sb7 & Spirit box sb11 (one of our favourites), Kinect sensors, EVP listening devices etc. We mix traditional ghost hunting techniques and modern equipment throughout the night, vigils and seances, take part in glass moving, table tipping, Ouija Board sessions. Dowsing Rods will also be made readily available. (Equipment may vary event to event)
Your ghost hunt begins, lights off, torches on. We will split up into more manageable teams of no more than 10 people per group and head off into our set locations. Groups are rotated through the night so you get to investigate the whole of the location. The last hour or so of the night is free roam, you can head off into the dark alone and conduct your own investigation.
If you have your own ghost hunting equipment you are more than welcome to bring it on the night, all we ask is that if you bring a camcorder it has a night vision function as we like events to be kept in darkness. We recommend that you bring a torch with you as we will be in total darkness the whole night. We do have torches but numbers are limited.
We recommend you bring enough layers of clothing with you to keep you warm throughout the night.
